Bye Bye Summer

The pools are about to close around here so we are trying to enjoy the last days of summer.

First Week of School

Alivia is loving Kindergarten! Today Austin and I went to Liv's class and took pictures of all the kids during their first week of school. I am helping her teacher do a Personal Yearbook project for the students through out the year. I will take pictures of the kids in a different activity/theme each month and then help them put the pages in their personal yearbooks where they write and draw a picture about each month's theme. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

August Morning

We woke the kids up extra early this morning to take them to their first Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Liv's New Cut

I have so many pictures still to post from June and July but I am skipping those for now and posting today's big event.

Liv got her hair CHOPPED!

Don't tell Liv, but I am really sad. I already shed a few tears.

I think she looks beautiful but her long hair that she has been growing her entire five years of life is now gone. She didn't even think a thing of it. Shows you how different we are!

This morning I told her we were going to get it trimmed because it was out of control with tangles. She said she wanted it short like her cousin Halle's. I said "above your shoulders short?" Yep!  She found a picture she liked in the hair cut book at Sharkey's Cuts and off with her hair it was.

Well, she LOVES it. She can't stop flipping it around. She said that when it gets longer she is going to cut it short again. She won't let you untuck it from behind her ears though (which is extra cute) because her earrings have to show. She says her new cut makes her look like she is six. Just yesterday she was so excited about being five.

I am going to go cry a little more. ;)
