Myrtle Beach

We had the best time in Myrtle Beach! It was the first time we had been back to visit since we moved. We had so much fun visiting with family and friends. Five days was way too short.

Princess Alivia

Liv had a great time at our church's Princess & Warrior Camp! I was the 'craft leader' and had the best time making princess mirrors, aprons, crowns, wands, and butterfly wings. The girls sang the most precious song on stage about the 'real king'. I will try and get the video posted if I can.

Summer Days

We love soaking up the sun at the pool! Liv and Austin are both water bugs for sure. They have no fear of the water. Austin loves to jump in the pool and then stick his head under. We sometimes wonder when he is coming up for air. He can hold his breath forever! Liv is now working on diving. She has the belly flop down perfect.

Alivia's 5th Pinkalicious Party

Liv had a great time at her Pinkalicious birthday party. We had pink cupcakes, pink candy, pink food, pink decorations, and a pink cupcake pinata! There was a lot of pink going on! We started the party off with pink hair spray and face painting. The girls loved making their own cupakes - what a mess! I was so caught up in the moment that I completey forgot to read the Pinkalicous book to all the kids. They never knew of course. Everyone did get to sign her Pinkalicous book - something she will keep forever. Thank you friends and family for making this such a special day for my sweet Alivia.

Happy Birthday Alivia

Happy Birthday my sweet Alivia! I can't believe you are five years old. That is so old! I ask you all the time if you can stop getting older and just stay my baby girl forever but you just laugh at that idea. Here are some little tid bits about you at age five.

You love your daddy! You are a daddy's girl and I think that is so sweet. You truly have the best dad a girl could ask for and he just adores you. He is lucky and gets to put you to bed most nights. You two like to sneak movies instead of reading books before bed. It is so cute.

You love your baby brother! Well he isn't a baby anymore but you make sure to always protect him. He loves you so much. He is going to be truly heart broken when you start kindergarten. He won't know what to do without you.

You love crafts! You are already scrapbooking and you are really good. You will always choose a craft over a toy in the store. You want everything in Hobby Lobby. You have now made half the pantry into a craft closet. You organized it all on your own.

You love Jesus! I am so glad you love church and you say the most wonderful and surprising things when you talk about Jesus and God. You are the one that usually says the blessing. I love to hear you pray before you fall asleep. Your favorite song is Our God is Greater by Chris Tomlin - we love singing it together at the top of our lungs!

You love people! You are my little social butterfly. You are so outgoing (so very different than I was at your age). You have never met a stranger a day in your life (not even at Walmart). I can take you to a VBS at a church you have never been to before and you just give me a kiss and say bye mom! It is amazing. When one friend leaves you are ready for the next one to come over and play. Authority, adults, and boys just don't intimate you. You love to talk on the phone!

You love babies! Yes, you adore babies and you are really good with them. You want to hold them, kiss them, pick them up, and just love on them. You are so motherly around them even at age five.

You always ask me if I am buckled up in the car. I love that you are looking out for me. Thank you sweet girl.

You can't get enough of Arthur (your favorite tv show). You ask if there is a new one on every day. I think you like it that Arthur is the same age as you. You really want to visit Arthur Land but I haven't figured out where that is yet.

Your favorite food is Chinese. You would eat Panda Express everyday if I let you. You must be growing because you can almost eat an entire Chick-Fil-A sandwich. You are way over their nuggets now. You have just recently learned to appreciate a cheeseburger.

You are so excited about starting Kindergarten. You are counting down the days. I know you will love it. You also can't wait to go pick out your school supplies. That will be a treat all on its own. I hope I don't cry on your first day.

Slow down baby girl... you are growing up way too fast!

I love you with all my heart (from here to the moon and back).

Love,
MOM

Playground Time

The kids love their new playground! Thank you to Mimi, Papa Tuck, and Uncle Phil for helping Aaron put it together in the 100+ degree (no shade and no breeze) heat!!! Liv is so excited to have it finished right in time for her birthday and Pinkalicious party. Now we just need some cool weather!
